On the morning of the 12th, Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, accompanied by Oh Yu-kyung, Commissioner of the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, and Song Myung-dal, Vice Minister of Oceans and Fisheries, visited the Mapo Agricultural and Marine Products Market to promote a summer campaign for the prevention of seafood food poisoning and safe consumption.
On that day, Commissioner Oh Yu-kyung randomly selected two live fish handling stores within the agricultural and marine products market to collect aquarium water samples and conducted rapid tests for food poisoning bacteria such as Vibrio.
After observing the sampling process, Mayor Park Gang-su, together with Commissioner Oh Yu-kyung, delivered food poisoning prevention promotional materials to the vendors in the Mapo Agricultural and Marine Products Market, urging them to manage cooking facilities and seafood hygienically.
