Ozone Advisory Issued for 7 Districts in Seoul's Southwestern Area
At 6 p.m. on the 12th, the Ministry of Environment's Korea Environment Corporation announced that an ozone advisory was issued for seven districts in the southwestern area of Seoul.
The affected areas are Gangseo-gu, Guro-gu, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Dongjak-gu, Gwanak-gu, Geumcheon-gu, and Yangcheon-gu. The time-averaged ozone concentration in the issued areas was recorded at 0.1257 ppm (parts per million) as of 6 p.m.
An ozone advisory is issued when the 1-hour average ozone (O₃) concentration in the air is 0.12 ppm or higher, an ozone warning at 0.30 ppm or higher, and an ozone severe warning at 0.50 ppm or higher.

When an ozone advisory is issued, the elderly, children, and those with respiratory or heart conditions should refrain from outdoor activities. It is also recommended that the general public avoid outdoor activities or strenuous exercise.
