Jigukhyun, Chief of Jeju Coast Guard, Conducts Coastal Security Field Inspection
Ji Guk-hyun, Chief of Jeju Maritime Police Station, conducted a thorough inspection of the coastal security sites in the jurisdiction on the 11th to prepare for the ongoing heavy rains and the upcoming peak season.
According to Jeju Maritime Police on the 12th, Chief Ji visited the coastal areas around Sehwa, Gimnyeong, and Konan Beach in Jeju City, which fall under the jurisdiction of Jeju Police Substation, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. the previous day. He inspected safety management measures in preparation for the peak season and took time to encourage and communicate with frontline police officers.

Additionally, on the 2nd, the day after his appointment, he visited Hallim Police Substation to inspect hazardous areas and restricted access zones.
On the 6th, anticipating weekend crowds flocking to the beaches, he conducted an urgent safety management inspection focusing on coastal areas with a high risk of accidents, including Ihot, Gwakji, Hyeopjae, Geumnung, Handam, and Panpo beaches within the western sea area jurisdiction.
Chief Ji plans to continue inspecting security sites and carry out life jacket-wearing campaigns during the Coastal Safety Inspection Week (third week of July) and Coastal Safety Day (July 18).
A Jeju Maritime Police official stated, “This year as well, we will do our best to establish a marine safety culture and create seas that the public can trust and use safely.”
