Ministry of SMEs and Startups Establishes Large-Small Business Win-Win Support to Promote Private-Led Technology Protection Expansion
Support for Large Corporations to Establish Systems Preventing Technology Leakage to Small and Medium Enterprises
A system to support large corporations in establishing technology leakage prevention systems for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) will be put in place.
The Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced on the 11th that it held a win-win agreement ceremony for the establishment of a 'win-win type technology leakage prevention system' and a startup opinion hearing meeting to improve the technology protection system at Lotte Hotel.
The agreement ceremony and meeting were attended by large corporations and public institutions that pledged win-win funds to protect the technologies of partner companies and startups, as well as startups, related organizations, legal experts, and the Foundation for Large and Small Business, and Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Cooperation.
The main content of this agreement is that large corporations and public institutions support the costs through win-win fund contributions for SMEs that want to build technology leakage prevention systems such as PC and document security solutions, antivirus, firewalls, and information security cloud but face difficulties due to cost burdens. LG Household & Health Care, GS Retail, KT, Korea East-West Power, and Busan Port Authority have confirmed their contributions to this 'win-win type technology leakage prevention system establishment project.'
Through this project, large corporations and public enterprises can stabilize the supply chain by preventing data or technology leakage through security system linkage with partner companies that constitute the value chain. Also, by contributing 40% of the total cost, large corporations and public enterprises reduce the burden on SMEs from 50% to 20%, enabling more SMEs to build technology protection systems at lower costs.
