Urban Smart Farm 'Farmitdawon' Local Venture Project Launched with 1.4 Billion Won Investment
Gongju City in South Chungcheong Province announced on the 11th that it has been selected for the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's "Gohyangollae (GOHyang ALLRae) Project," securing a total project budget of 1.4 billion KRW (700 million KRW in national funding). It is the only city in South Chungcheong Province to be selected.
This project aims to revitalize the local economy by expanding the population of residents who stay for extended periods, through the promotion of the urban smart farm "Farmittawon" in the local venture sector.
The city plans to create dining startup and shared cafe spaces to provide jobs and residential facilities for young people through entrepreneurship and networking programs.
In addition, the city plans to secure youth residential facilities and cultural spaces in connection with the ongoing youth-customized shared housing project "Gachiittda."
Mayor Choi Woncheol stated, "Through this project, we will attract a resident population and promote it as a model case that revitalizes the local community."
