Director Park Yeon-jae Visits Daebul National Industrial Complex Companies to Discuss Environmental Issues
The Mokpo Chamber of Commerce and Industry invited Park Yeon-jae, head of the Yeongsan River Basin Environmental Office, who visited the Yeongam Daebul National Industrial Complex on the 10th, to hold an environmental policy meeting.
At this meeting, representatives of local manufacturing companies, including Jeong Hyun-taek, chairman of the Mokpo Chamber of Commerce, conveyed their opinions on environmental burdens, regulatory relaxation, and support to Director Park Yeon-jae, and then visited the business sites.
Jeong Hyun-taek, chairman of the Mokpo Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said, "Except for the shipbuilding industry, all sectors are experiencing a continued economic downturn," adding, "The strengthening of environmental regulations is placing a significant burden on business management, so we ask for efforts to improve the system so that companies can regain vitality."
He is introducing the government's environmental policies and explaining the difficulties faced by tenant companies related to the environment to Park Yeon-jae, Director of the Yeongsan River Basin Environmental Office.

After the meeting, Director Park Yeon-jae and his party visited Daehan Ceramics Co., Ltd., a company specializing in alumina production located in the Daebul National Industrial Complex.
Daehan Ceramics specializes in producing special alumina, and Director Park Yeon-jae and his party toured the main production facilities and research institute in person. Through this, they enhanced their understanding of the company's production processes and research and development activities.
Amid active communication between companies and the government through the meeting, efforts are underway to explore cooperative measures that consider the balance between environmental policies and business operations.
The Mokpo Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Yeongsan River Basin Environmental Office plan to continuously create such win-win opportunities in the future, contributing to regional economic development and environmental preservation.
