Completed Relocation Last Month to 3rd-4th Floors of Guui 2-dong Complex Office Building... Established with a Total Area of 1024.16㎡
Equipped with Various Facilities for Customized Family Services Including Education Room, Counseling Room, and Language Development Classroom
Family Programs for Improving Family Relations and Supporting Multicultural Families Also Operated... Open to All District Residents
Gwangjin-gu (Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) has relocated the Gwangjin-gu Family Center to the Guui 2-dong Complex Building (55, Cheonho-daero 136-gil) and began operations on the 24th of last month.
The Gwangjin-gu Family Center had been operating as two separate centers: Center 1 (Healthy Family Support Center, 23, Neungdong-ro 30-gil) and Center 2 (Multicultural Family Support Center, 17, Achasan-ro 24-gil) to resolve family conflicts and support happy lives. However, due to limited physical space, the functions were divided between the centers, which caused inconvenience for the families using the services.
Accordingly, the district promoted the establishment of an integrated family center to provide various services in one place regardless of family type, and completed the relocation to the 3rd and 4th floors of the Guui 2-dong Complex Building last month.
The new family center spans a total area of 1,024.16㎡ and is equipped with three education rooms, eight counseling rooms, a language development classroom, and various facilities to provide customized services for each family.
Going forward, the center will enable one-stop services such as family relationship improvement and support for multicultural families, greatly enhancing convenience for target families as well as the quality of life for residents.
The Gwangjin-gu Family Center operates various family programs including ▲ family relationship improvement (parent and couple roles, family counseling, etc.) ▲ multicultural support (support for marriage immigrants, language development support, etc.) ▲ creation of a child-friendly home environment (Iboldom support project, shared childcare spaces, etc.).
Operating hours are from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays, with evening counseling available until 9 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Any Gwangjin-gu resident interested in the programs can visit and use the center.
