Korea Student Aid Foundation Selects 1,406 'Pureun Deungdae' Scholars... Provides 1-3 Million Won in Living Expenses to Low-Income University Students
The Korea Student Aid Foundation (Chairman Bae Byungil) will be recruiting new recipients for the Blue Lighthouse Donation Scholarship for the second semester of 2024 from 9 a.m. on the 10th to 6 p.m. on the 25th.
The "Blue Lighthouse Donation Scholarship" is a scholarship program that collects donations from individuals and corporations to provide tuition and living expenses to outstanding university students from low-income backgrounds in various fields.
Since its establishment in 2009, the Korea Student Aid Foundation has provided Blue Lighthouse Donation Scholarships totaling KRW 39.5 billion to 24,000 university students.
For the second semester of 2024, 1,406 new recipients will be selected for the Blue Lighthouse Donation Scholarship, each receiving a living expense scholarship ranging from KRW 1 million to KRW 3 million.
Any student currently enrolled at a domestic university with Korean nationality can apply for the Blue Lighthouse Donation Scholarship 24 hours a day, except for the opening and closing dates, via the Korea Student Aid Foundation website and mobile app.
The results of the scholarship selection will be announced in mid-October after the start of the second semester and can be checked on the Korea Student Aid Foundation website.
All new selections for the Blue Lighthouse Donation Scholarship for the second semester of 2024 are for living expense scholarships, and recipients may receive this scholarship in addition to other scholarships.
