View original imageAt approximately 8:59 p.m. on the 7th, a fire broke out in a temporary document storage room at a hospital in Sammun-dong, Miryang-si, Gyeongnam, causing about 100 people to evacuate.
According to the Gyeongnam Fire Department, 1.5 square meters of the storage room were burned in the fire, but there were no casualties.
At the time of the fire, there were 153 people in the hospital, including patients and hospital staff, but all were evacuated safely.
The fire authorities responded after receiving an automatic fire alarm report, followed by a report of smoke coming from the emergency exit stairs of the fourth-floor nurse's room. They mobilized 50 personnel and 26 pieces of equipment to extinguish the fire.
The fire was brought under control by firefighters at around 9:13 p.m. that night.
The police and fire authorities are investigating the exact cause of the fire and the extent of property damage.
