Im Hye-sook has been appointed as the new Chairperson of Saengmyeongui Jeonhwa (Lifeline Korea).
Saengmyeongui Jeonhwa, established in September 1976, is the first telephone counseling organization in Korea, and for 48 years, it has listened to the stories of people in suicidal crises 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Saengmyeongui Jeonhwa makes multifaceted efforts to protect lives through education and awareness programs for suicide prevention, crisis intervention via counseling calls and cyber counseling, and post-management for suicide survivors.
