Yong-rok Lee, Hongseong County Governor, Visits National Assembly to Secure State Budget
Request for Support of 8 Key Projects Including Restoration of Hongju Eupseong
Hong Seong-gun County Governor Lee Yong-rok took direct action to secure national funding.
On the 26th, Governor Lee visited the National Assembly and met with lawmakers including Kang Seung-gyu, Kim Jang-gyeom, Seong Il-jong, Lim Gwang-hyun, Jang Jong-tae, An Do-geol, and Lee Jae-gwan to explain current projects.
In particular, he requested support for eight key projects: △ Restoration of Hongju Eupseong △ Creation of a Korean Cultural City △ Establishment of K-Rak (樂) Digital Space △ Relocation of KT Hongseong Branch △ Designation of Gwangcheon Cave Salted Shrimp Processing as a National Important Fisheries Heritage △ Connection of Seohae Line to Gyeongbu Express Line (KTX) △ Establishment of Korea Industrial Human Resources Corporation Chungnam Western Branch △ Construction of a Smart Factory for Land-based Seaweed Farming.

Governor Lee said, "The projects proposed this time will be core drivers for the future development of Hongseong County," adding, "Until the final budget for next year is confirmed, we will focus on securing national funding by establishing tailored strategies and visiting the National Assembly and central government departments."
