Earlier, from the 17th to the 19th, 40 students in six fields including mechanical processing and 2 accompanying teachers who were to participate in the internship in Brisbane, Australia, completed capacity building training.
The purpose of the training is to conduct capacity building training in advance domestically to understand Australian culture and industry. It aims to explore information necessary for overseas employment, build consensus between participating students and accompanying teachers, and establish mutual trust.
The Vocational High School Global Internship is a program that provides students with overseas employment opportunities through language and job training and field training at Australian specialized vocational education institutions.
The Jeonbuk Office of Education expanded participation in the Vocational High School Global Internship from 57 students last year to 100 this year. Students from 20 schools in a total of 12 fields including engineering, horse breeding, horticulture and landscaping, and service and office accounting participated, and final candidates were selected through a first document screening, second in-depth interview, and English interview.
To enhance the effectiveness of the internship, students attend native speaker online classes twice a week before dispatch to Australia, and are fully committed to preparatory education such as capacity building training, safety, character, and career education, and Australian culture understanding education.
At the end of July and August, 50 students will depart respectively and receive 4 to 6 weeks of education at the Australian national educational institution (TAFE NSW). The launch ceremony is scheduled to be held in July.
