A Driver in Their 20s Detained for Hitting a Pedestrian in Gwangju at Dawn
In the early morning, a man in his 20s was arrested by the police after hitting a pedestrian with a passenger car while driving on a road in Gwangju Metropolitan City.
The Western Gwangju Police Station announced on the 25th that they have booked and are investigating Mr. A (26) on charges of injury under the Special Act on Traffic Accident Handling.
Mr. A is suspected of colliding with Mr. B's (in his 60s) SUV at an intersection in Gwangcheon-dong, Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, around 3:03 a.m., then driving onto the sidewalk and hitting three pedestrians.
The three pedestrians were transported to the hospital and are reported to be in stable condition without serious life-threatening injuries.
Neither Mr. A nor Mr. B was driving without a license or under the influence of alcohol.
