"Take Care of Your Health by Walking Barefoot" Osan City Creates 3 Hwangtotgil Paths
Wondong Neighborhood, Goindol, Jukmi Neighborhood Parks, etc.
Osan City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 24th that it has created barefoot loess trails in three parks within the city to promote citizens' health.
The newly established barefoot loess trails are located at ▲ Wondong Neighborhood Park (Wondong 404-7) ▲ Goindol Park (Geumam-dong 520) ▲ Jukmi Neighborhood Park (Segyo-dong 620). The Wondong Neighborhood Park, which was previously in pilot operation, has now officially opened.

The city also installed misting facilities that spray harmless tap water on the loess trails. This is to properly maintain the soil's temperature and humidity to enhance its benefits and to prevent fine dust. Foot washing stations and dust removal areas were installed along the loess trails, and swing benches were also created.
Each loess trail features a different theme. Goindol Park offers a vast resting area where visitors can enjoy the scenery, Wondong Neighborhood Park allows experiencing the loess trail in a shaded urban space, and Jukmi Neighborhood Park is characterized by a sloped mountain path that can be walked barefoot.
This project is a key initiative promoted by Osan City under the 8th term of the elected administration as a measure to improve citizens' health. To this end, Mayor Lee Gwon-jae personally collaborated with Gyeonggi Province and members of the Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly from the People Power Party to secure 700 million won in special adjustment grants from Gyeonggi Province.
