Part of Local Waterworks Efficiency Project... Improvement of Tap Water Quality
On the 20th, Hampyeong-gun in Jeollanam-do joined hands with K-water and Korea Electric Power Corporation to create the nation's first specialized village applying smart technology (hereinafter referred to as Smart Village).
According to Hampyeong-gun on the 23rd, the Smart Village project is a support initiative in Wolya-myeon Munhwa Village, where Hampyeong-gun and Korea Water Resources Corporation collaborate to install precision filtration devices, leakage detection sensors, remote meter reading, flow and water pressure monitoring, and smart drinking fountains.

This project is part of the Hampyeong-gun local waterworks efficiency project that the two organizations have been conducting since 2009 to improve tap water quality. It is expected to continue operation and management by applying smart network management technology.
Korea Electric Power Corporation will also install a metering system to ensure the stable supply of high-quality electricity. Through an app called "Power Planner," real-time information such as electricity bills will be provided.
