Application for KOSDAQ Grand Prize Open... Bonus Points for Companies Participating in Value-Up Program
The KOSDAQ Association announced on the 21st that it will accept applications from KOSDAQ companies until July 31 for the selection of the '16th Korea KOSDAQ Awards.' Notably, starting this year, additional points will be awarded to companies that disclose plans to enhance corporate value.
The KOSDAQ Association has been recognizing outstanding companies in areas such as management performance, market contribution, ESG management, technology development, and job creation to enhance investor trust and the KOSDAQ brand value.
Now in its 16th year, the Korea KOSDAQ Awards have been elevated to a government award since 2022 and are jointly hosted by the KOSDAQ Association and the Ministry of SMEs and Startups. The highest honor is the Prime Minister's Award, and up to 15 awards are given across nine categories, including the Minister of SMEs and Startups Award and the Chairman of the Financial Services Commission Award.
The selection committee, composed of external experts in each field, conducts quantitative evaluations through document reviews and qualitative evaluations through presentations and company visits to select the final awardees. Award-winning companies receive benefits such as exemption from additional listing fees and change of listing fees at the Korea Exchange for one year, as well as free participation in mandatory disclosure education provided by the KOSDAQ Association.
In particular, to encourage voluntary corporate value enhancement among KOSDAQ-listed companies, additional points will be awarded to companies participating in the corporate value-up program when selecting awardees.
