Democratic Party to Hold Emergency Caucus at 2 PM... Discussing Party Stance on Four Bills Including Nursing Act
The Democratic Party of Korea will discuss adopting four bills as party positions: the Local Love Gift Certificate Act, the Small Business Support Act, the Carbon Neutrality Act, and the Nursing Act. The bill sponsors will explain the contents of the bills at the party caucus meeting.
The Democratic Party will hold an emergency party caucus at 2 p.m. on the 20th at the National Assembly. Kang Yoo-jung, the party floor spokesperson, told reporters after the policy coordination meeting that morning, "At the emergency party caucus, we will report on the formation of the floor and listen to the opinions of the members," adding, "We plan to propose four bills as party positions." She also said, "We intend to have the bill sponsors explain the bills and share opinions on adopting them as party positions."

Specifically, Kang explained that the Local Love Gift Certificate Act will be proposed in the National Assembly's Public Administration and Security Committee, the Small Business Support Act and the Carbon Neutrality Act in the Industry, Trade, and Small and Medium Venture Business Committee, and the Nursing Act in the Health and Welfare Committee. In a phone interview with Asia Economy, she said, "The Local Love Gift Certificate Act will be sponsored by Representative Park Jeong-hyun," adding, "The act will revise the discretionary provision for national government support for local love gift certificates to regularize surveys and require reporting to the National Assembly."

If adopted as party positions on that day, the Small Business Support Act will be sponsored by Representative Oh Se-hee (former president of the Small Business Association), the Carbon Neutrality Act by Representative Park Ji-hye (Ph.D. in environmental law), and the Nursing Act by Representative Kang Seon-woo, the floor whip of the Health and Welfare Committee.
