Emart Masan Branch Provides Summer Cooling Supplies to Vulnerable Groups
Selection of Young and Middle-aged Generation in Collaboration with Masan General Social Welfare Center
Masan Happo-gu, Changwon Special City, Gyeongnam, announced on the 19th that, as part of the '2024 Hope Sharing Project' business agreement, cooling supplies (fans) were provided to households vulnerable to heat at the E-Mart Masan branch.
This event was the second sharing activity following the signing of the '2024 Hope Sharing Project' business agreement on February 28, and fans were provided to those vulnerable to heat.
In particular, this sharing was carried out in cooperation with the Masan General Social Welfare Center, which selected 30 households of young adults and single-person households, and the welfare center will deliver the fans directly through home visits.
Kim Dowan, the store manager, said, "I am glad that those who are struggling due to the early heat can have a cool summer. We will continue to strive to consistently carry out social contribution activities in the local community."
Bae Gicheol, head of the Social Welfare Division, stated, "Thank you for providing cooling supplies so that those vulnerable to the early heatwave can stay cool. We will continue to provide administrative support so that hope can be shared with households in need."
Meanwhile, since 2014, the E-Mart Masan branch has signed an agreement with Masan Happo-gu for the Hope Sharing Project every year and has been carrying out community-tailored social contribution activities, such as improving residential environments, donating daily necessities sets, sponsoring kimchi for winter, and donating proceeds from the Love Market Day to neighbors in the local community.
