The six-member African delegation visited the Toss Bank headquarters in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, in the morning and met with Eunmi Lee, CEO of Toss Bank, and Jiwoong Kim, Chief Strategy Officer (CSO).
The African delegation discussed the corporate culture that drives Toss Bank's innovation and growth. They evaluated Toss Bank's achievements in innovation and growth as an internet-only bank as a successful model and expressed hope to introduce such innovations on the African continent.
The Southern African Development Community Bankers Association, which visited Toss Bank this time, was established to promote cooperation among banks in the member countries of the Southern African Development Community (SADC). It strives to strengthen regional economic cooperation by promoting standardization in the banking industry, regulatory harmonization, improvement of financial services, and financial integration. Botswana, Nigeria, and Mauritius are countries with relatively high economic growth potential on the African continent and are noted for their significant growth potential in the economic and financial industries.
