"Life Jackets Serve as Seat Belts for Safety" ... Changwon Chamber of Commerce Joins 'Wear a Life Jacket' Campaign
Changwon Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Muhak participated in the "Life Jacket Wearing Campaign" on the 18th, delivering life jackets worth a total of 10 million KRW, with each contributing 5 million KRW.
At the handover ceremony held at the Changwon Coast Guard Office that day, Choi Jaeho, President of Changwon Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Muhak, and Kim Youngcheol, Chief of Changwon Coast Guard, were in attendance.
During the ceremony, President Choi stated, "A life jacket serves the same purpose as a seatbelt in a car. I hope everyone will actively participate in wearing life jackets for safe and enjoyable water activities."
Chief Kim expressed, "I would like to extend my deep gratitude to the Changwon Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Muhak for helping to raise awareness about the importance of life jackets, which are the seatbelts of the sea. In order to prevent coastal safety accidents, we will do our utmost to ensure students can safely enjoy the sea by distributing the donated life jackets free of charge to local students through programs such as Neulbom School and metaverse safety education."
Meanwhile, the "Life Jacket Wearing Campaign," jointly promoted by Changwon Coast Guard and Gyeongsangnam-do Office of Education, is a campaign targeting students in the province to reduce accidents caused by lack of safety awareness, such as not wearing life jackets, and to spread a culture of maritime safety.
