Jeonnam Student Education Center 'Jeonnam Ui' Education Activation Experience Camp
The Jeonnam Office of Education Student Education Center announced on the 17th that it conducted a middle school student peace, human rights, and history experience camp to promote 'Jeonnam Ui' education for middle school students in the Jeonnam region.
This event was held to foster democratic citizenship education and historical awareness among 60 third-year middle school students in Jeonnam province and to nurture leaders for the era of a unified Korea.

View original imageFrom the 13th to the 14th, the students toured Wando, Haenam, and Jindo areas, experiencing firsthand the will to practice democracy, peace, and human rights, while fostering pride in cultural assets.
In particular, they visited the Jang Bogo Memorial Hall, learning about the life of Admiral Jang Bogo of Cheonghaejin, who ruled the seas and traveled between Tang, Silla, and Japan, and spent a meaningful time tracing the last footsteps of Yi Sun-sin, who, with his outstanding strategy, eradicated Japanese forces for the people.
Additionally, they visited major historical sites related to the Japanese colonial period and the May 18 Democratic Movement, learning about the patriotism of great figures who sacrificed their lives for the country.
