Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education Hosts Career Camp for High School Students with Professional Experts
Sharing Career Experience in 15 Fields Including Police and eSports
The Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education announced on the 14th that it will hold the '2024 High School Career Camp with Professional Experts' for high school students and their parents in the district on the 15th.
This career camp will be held in collaboration with the BPW Gwangju Club at Seoseok Hall and the International Hall of Chosun University.
The 'Career Camp with Professional Experts' was introduced and promoted for the first time this year to provide substantial, customized career education for students.
Participants, including students and parents, were selected through applications from 15 pre-registered schools. Students will have the opportunity to meet professionals in various highly specialized and segmented future career fields and hear vivid experiences.
Under the theme "A Small but Great World Under the Microscope," the career camp will cover 15 professional fields. These include ▲ medical professions as well as firefighters, prosecutors, lawyers, police officers, and public officials ▲ practical professions such as webtoon artists, multi-beauty designers, and baristas ▲ new industry fields such as artificial intelligence, big data developers, content planners, and e-sports.
In particular, the camp provides opportunities to meet professionals in various fields that are not easily accessible, such as film directors and health exercise managers. The Office of Education expects this camp to greatly assist students in making self-directed career decisions.
