Over 340 Middle School Teachers Attend 'Cyber Gambling Prevention' Training
Protecting Students by Understanding Types and Trends of Youth Cyber Gambling
The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education will hold a "Job Training for Fostering a Healthy Information Culture and Preventing Cyber Gambling" for approximately 340 secondary school teachers at 2 p.m. on the 14th at the main auditorium of the Busan Education Research & Information Institute.
This training aims to examine the rapidly changing patterns and crime trends of youth cyber gambling and to increase participation in cyber gambling prevention education.
On this day, Jeon Byungha, Inspector of the Busan Metropolitan Police Agency, will serve as the instructor to introduce the increasingly diverse and new types of youth cyber gambling, including cyber crimes, youth cyber gambling, and secondary crimes. This is to help establish measures to protect youth from the evolving and spreading cyber gambling threats.
Following this, the supervisor in charge will provide guidance on the use and application of the "Beautiful Digital World Begins with Me: Information Ethics Education" textbook, which was developed and distributed by the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education. This textbook was designed with content and activities suitable for each school level to strengthen information ethics and was distributed to elementary, middle, and high schools last March.
In particular, one or two representative teachers from each participating school will conduct follow-up training sessions after returning to their schools, encouraging all faculty members to participate in cyber gambling prevention education.
