Full-Scale Search Operation to Find Two Missing Persons
Mokpo Maritime Police Station (Chief Kwon Oh-seong) is making every effort on the 13th to search for two missing persons after fishing vessel A capsized near Gageodo, Sinan-gun, Jeollanam-do.

According to Mokpo Maritime Police, vessel A is presumed to have capsized after colliding with cargo ship B (9,734 tons, Hong Kong-registered, container ship). The police identified vessels passing through the area at the time of the accident and tracked vessel B, conducting inspection and search after stopping it about 37 miles from the accident site.
Vessel B had departed from Japan and was en route to China. Under the escort of the maritime police ship, it was moved to nearby waters of Bulmugi for a detailed investigation of the collision.
