13 Districts in Central, Southwest, and Northwest Seoul Lift Ozone Advisory

The ozone advisory issued for 13 districts in central Seoul, southwestern, and northwestern areas was lifted at 5 p.m. on the 12th.
The Ministry of Environment and the Korea Environment Corporation announced that the lifted areas are Jung-gu, Jongno-gu, Yongsan-gu, Gangseo-gu, Guro-gu, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Dongjak-gu, Gwanak-gu, Geumcheon-gu, Yangcheon-gu, Eunpyeong-gu, Seodaemun-gu, and Mapo-gu.
The hourly average ozone concentration in the lifted areas as of 5 p.m. is 0.1081 ppm (parts per million) in the central area, 0.1067 ppm in the southwestern area, and 0.1072 ppm in the northwestern area.
The advisory remains in effect for four districts in the southeastern area and eight districts in the northeastern area.

An ozone advisory is issued when the 1-hour average ozone (O₃) concentration in the air reaches 0.12 ppm or higher, an ozone alert at 0.30 ppm or higher, and an ozone severe alert at 0.50 ppm or higher.
