Seongbuk-gu to Hold 'Visiting Maintenance Project Academy' Starting the 13th of This Month
Promotion of Maintenance Project Advancement through Education
Seongbuk-gu, Seoul (Mayor Lee Seung-ro) will conduct customized visiting education starting from the 13th to help residents easily understand redevelopment and reconstruction projects. The "Seongbuk-gu Visiting Maintenance Project Academy," held over a total of 8 sessions, allows any resident interested in redevelopment and reconstruction projects to attend without a separate application process. The lectures will be held on weekdays from 7 PM to 9 PM, with a capacity of 100 attendees.
The lectures will be conducted by experts with experience in maintenance project lectures in Seoul and various autonomous districts, including Kim Jin-wook, CEO of Yeji Architecture Office, and Heo Kyung-won, CEO of Yesi-gun Comprehensive Architecture Office. The first to third sessions, held on the 13th and 27th of this month and July 11th, will be led by the Urban Maintenance Rapid Promotion Team, which is responsible for small-scale rapid maintenance projects such as Moa Housing and Rapid Integration. The subsequent fourth to eighth sessions will be conducted by the Residential Maintenance Division, which handles redevelopment and reorganization projects.
The Maintenance Project Academy on the 13th will be held at the Seokgwan-dong Community Center auditorium, where CEO Kim Jin-wook will lecture on the basic understanding and promotion procedures of Moa Housing and Moa Town. In Seokgwan-dong, there are Moa Towns including the areas around 334-69, 261-22, and 124-42 Seokgwan-dong.
The second session on the 27th of this month will be held at the Seongbuk-gu Social Economy Center, where CEO Heo Kyung-won will give a lecture on the basic understanding and promotion procedures of rapid integrated planning housing redevelopment and related maintenance projects. The third session is scheduled for July 11th at Jeongneung Central Church, with the same lecturer and lecture topic. The rapid redevelopment areas in this region include Donam 1 District, Wolgok 1 and 2-dong, Jongam-dong, and the area around 898-16 Jeongneung-dong.
A district official explained, "Since conflicts in maintenance projects often lead to increased project costs, we have prepared education to properly and easily provide residents with the necessary information so that maintenance projects can proceed smoothly."

Mayor Lee Seung-ro said, "Currently, Seongbuk-gu has the largest number of 125 redevelopment and reconstruction maintenance project zones nationwide, and residents have a high interest in the area becoming a premium residential city. We plan to invite experts from various fields and organize lectures with practical content to thoroughly address residents' questions."
