Choi Ho-kwon, Yeongdeungpo District Mayor, Participates in Rainwater Drain Cleaning Volunteer Work in the Rain
Choi Ho-gwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo District, participated in a volunteer activity to clean rainwater drains in Singil 6-dong on the morning of the 8th.
Singil 6-dong is an area that suffered severe flooding damage during the record-breaking heavy rain in 2022. Ahead of the rainy season, district officials and residents joined forces to clean the rainwater drains in order to prevent flood damage in advance.
When rainwater drains or sewage pipes are blocked by trash, it becomes difficult to discharge rainwater during rainfall, making the cleaning of rainwater drains especially important during the rainy season. Despite the heavy rain and bad weather, employees and volunteers were wholeheartedly engaged in the cleaning efforts.
