Prosecutors Seek 14-Year Prison Sentence for Middle School Teacher Accused of Sexually Assaulting 11 Students
The prosecution has requested a heavy sentence for a man in his 30s who worked as a middle school teacher and is accused of sexually assaulting and abusing students.
On the 5th, at the trial of Mr. A held at the Seoul Western District Court Criminal Division 12 (Presiding Judge Kwon Seong-su), the prosecution requested a sentence of 14 years in prison, disclosure and notification of personal information, 20 years of employment restriction, and 20 years of electronic monitoring.
The prosecution argued, "The defendant committed crimes to satisfy his sexual desires targeting his middle school students, who were his pupils, and also sexually abused them through sexual remarks, or emotionally abused them through assault and verbal abuse, making the nature of the crime serious and grave."
They added that the defendant has not shown remorse, denied the charges, gathered students to explain only his position, collected petitions, and that the victims and their parents are demanding severe punishment.

According to the prosecution, Mr. A worked as a contract teacher at a middle school in Seoul and is accused of sexually abusing 11 students from November 2019 to October of last year.
