Project Funding Secured for Seoul City Pilot Program Competition
Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul (Mayor Lee Pil-hyung) announced on the 5th that it has been selected for Seoul City's "Pilot Project for Providing Vision Correction Glasses to Low-Income Visually Impaired Individuals" and secured a project budget of 10 million KRW.
The support targets are Dongdaemun-gu residents who are registered as visually impaired and are either recipients of the National Basic Livelihood Security or legally classified as lower-income households. The district provides vouchers worth approximately 80,000 KRW, and eligible individuals can visit opticians partnered with the district to purchase vision correction glasses. A total of 110 people will be supported, and recruitment of beneficiaries will take place between the end of this month and early July.
