Kyobo Life Insurance Renovates Gwanghwamun Billboard Summer Edition... "Your Smile Like a Rose"
Available Until the End of August
Kyobo Life Insurance announced on the 3rd that it has renovated the Gwanghwamun Billboard for the upcoming summer. The billboard features a phrase taken from the poem "Opposites" by author Katherine Mansfield. This summer edition will be displayed until the end of August at the Gwanghwamun Kyobo Life Building and the Gangnam Kyobo Tower.
Katherine Mansfield, known as a master of short stories, was a British female writer active in the 1900s. She mainly showcased her talent in short stories and gained attention in literary circles for her delicate sensibility and unique writing style. She wrote not only short stories such as "Happiness," "The Garden Party," and "The Dove's Nest," but also poetry, critiques, and diaries.
The phrase poetically expresses the idea that a small smile brightens the world. It conveys the message that the positive energy that makes someone smile becomes a comfort to each other and, like the scent of flowers spreading widely, becomes a force that supports society. The design depicts a child lying on green grass with arms wide open, enjoying the sunlight.
