Yongin City to Host 'Disability Happiness Week' from 10th to 13th
Free Admission Benefits to Everland and Korean Folk Village
Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 3rd that it will operate the "Disability Happiness Week" from the 10th to the 13th to support the culture and leisure activities of people with disabilities in the region.
With the support of the Korea Disabled Culture Association Yongin Branch, Everland, and the Korean Folk Village, registered people with disabilities in Yongin can enter Everland and the Folk Village free of charge.
Everland will offer free admission tickets to people with disabilities visiting from the 10th to the 11th, and the Folk Village will do so from the 12th to the 13th. Tickets can be obtained at the tourist information centers of each facility from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Free admission is available to people with disabilities registered as residents of the city. The benefit applies to one person with a disability, but if the disability is severe, one caregiver can also enter for free. When receiving the ticket, a disability welfare card or disability certificate that can verify the address and type of disability must be presented. Each facility can be used once per person.

A city official said, "Yongin City, Everland, and the Korean Folk Village have joined forces so that people with disabilities, who often miss out on cultural benefits due to various constraints, can enjoy themselves without feeling excluded as members of the local community." He added, "We hope the meaning of happiness and companionship, which grows when shared, will be well conveyed."
