'Comeback D-1' AKMU Returns with Fairy Tale Imagination
Mini 3rd Album 'LOVE EPISODE' Released on the 3rd
Adding Fairy Tale Imagination to Dreamy Melodies
As the release of duo AKMU's third mini album 'LOVE EPISODE' approaches in just one day, music fans' anticipation is rising.
On the 2nd, YG Entertainment unveiled the ‘AKMU - [LOVE EPISODE] D-1 POSTER.’ The image features visuals of Lee Chan-hyuk and Lee Su-hyun set against a mystical background reminiscent of a fairy tale.
The concept, which seems to hold a story, is strikingly unusual. Lee Chan-hyuk playing the violin alone amidst falling snow on a winter night, and Lee Su-hyun surrounded by a flower field, lost in thought, evoke a melancholic atmosphere.
The mood, quite different from the previously released teaser content, has further heightened fans' curiosity. Attention is focused on what musical world AKMU will unfold in their new song ‘Hero’ and the narrative contained within.
Earlier, on the 31st, YG Entertainment released the teaser for the title track 'Hero' MV on their official SNS. The video, reminiscent of a fairy tale, begins with Lee Chan-hyuk braving a snowstorm on a nighttime path and Lee Su-hyun walking inside a castle wearing a dress.
The video captivated viewers with its unique direction, as if introducing characters. Lee Chan-hyuk appeared as a grasshopper, followed by dandelion seeds, a frog prince, a ladybug, a knight, an ant, and a tree character, while a question mark above Lee Su-hyun’s head sparked curiosity about her identity.
The subtitles framing the beginning and end further stimulated fairy tale imagination. Starting with 'Where are you' at the introduction, followed by a letter inside a glass bottle, and ending with the phrase 'To be continued' heightened expectations not only for AKMU’s story through this album but also for the full music video.
AKMU will release their third mini album 'LOVE EPISODE' at 6 PM on the 3rd. The title track ‘Hero’ is an impressive song with a dreamy and addictive melody, featuring lyrics that creatively compare a loved one to a ‘hero,’ promising a fresh and enjoyable experience.
