Oh Seung-rok, Nowon District Mayor, Attends 2024 Nowon District Residents Sports Festival
Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon District, Seoul, attended the '2024 Nowon District Residents Sports Festival' held at Nowon Madle Sports Town in Sanggye-dong on June 1st.
First, the entrance ceremony of the teams from 19 neighborhoods and a special performance by the 'Jumping Fitness Association' spectacularly opened the event. Then, residents of all ages participated in a unity parade showcasing the unique characteristics of each neighborhood.
After the opening declaration and the athletes' oath, the main competitions began, featuring six events: ▲Tug of war ▲Mixed relay ▲Volleyball ▲7-player penalty shootout ▲Color plate flipping ▲Throwing Ojami into baskets, along with a special side event, ▲Shoe archery competition.
Following the mixed relay, which concluded all the events, there was a congratulatory performance by trot singer Park Hyun-bin and a raffle with generous prizes such as bicycles, providing various attractions and entertainment.
Meanwhile, for children who came with adults, 'Everyone's Playground' was prepared, where they could enjoy air bounce, Nintendo Wii, and air bumper cars, as well as a 'Childcare Zone' where toddlers could play with blocks, creating a space enjoyable for both adults and children.
