Employees of a rental car company who confined three teenage female students and extorted money and sexually harassed them have been arrested by the police.
On the 31st, the Gangseo Police Station in Seoul announced that they have booked and are investigating rental car company employees A and B on charges of violating the Act on the Aggravated Punishment, etc. of Specific Crimes, the Child Welfare Act, and the abduction and enticement of minors.
They are accused of detaining the underage female students in the office for more than two hours after using their vulnerability of driving without a license by renting a car with forged IDs.
They threatened the victims' parents to demand cash and were confirmed to have received 500,000 won from one of them. B was investigated for taking one of the female students to an officetel under the pretext of a "high-paying part-time job," sexually harassing and assaulting her.

The police applied for arrest warrants for both individuals; however, A's warrant was dismissed, while B's was issued. The police plan to transfer them to the prosecution soon.
