District Mayor Ilhyeong Lee Walks Through the Garden with Parents to Gather Various Opinions
Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Lee Pil-hyung) recently created a 340-meter-long "Cheongnyanghan Dream Growing Forest" (hereinafter referred to as Cheongnyang Dream Forest) along the school routes of Sindap Elementary School and Sungin Middle School, and held an opening ceremony on the 29th.
Mayor Lee Pil-hyung visited Sindap Elementary School in April last year as the first site for the on-site district mayor's office program "Walking Dongdaemun." Parents requested the creation of a safe walking environment for children, and the district reflected this by developing the school route into a safe and pleasant "Cheongnyang Dream Forest."
On this day, Mayor Lee walked through the vibrant Cheongnyang Dream Forest with parents of Sindap Elementary and Sungin Middle School students, exchanging various opinions regarding student safety and other matters.
The "Cheongnyang Dream Forest" was designed with various themed gardens such as the "Starlight Children's Garden," "Play Garden," "Flower Cloud Garden," and "Dream Growing Path." ▲The "Starlight Children's Garden," where lights sparkle like stars in the sky at night ▲The "Play Garden," creatively expressed using balls of various colors ▲The "Flower Cloud Garden," where clusters of flowers blooming like watercolor paint, flower cloud chairs, and round sculptures harmonize to welcome students going to and from school.
Lee Pil-hyung, Mayor of Dongdaemun-gu, said, "We will beautifully maintain the Cheongnyang Dream Forest so that residents passing through can feel happiness for a moment while seeing the well-kept garden," and added, "We will continue to reflect residents' opinions to make Dongdaemun-gu safer and a better place to live."
