Gwangju University Certified as CPR Training Institution by Korean Association of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
Gwangju University was recently certified as a cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training institution through an on-site inspection of Basic Life Support (BLS) education conducted by the Korean Association of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (KACPR).
Gwangju University possesses the necessary personnel, facilities, equipment, and capabilities to conduct CPR training and has received a certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) and the Korean Association of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation recognizing it as a Basic Life Support (BLS) training institution.
Preparation for the training institution certification inspection involved significant efforts from Choi Seong-su, Head of the Department of Emergency Medical Services, Han Seung-hee, Head of the Department of Nursing, Professor Jeong Mi-hyeon of the Department of Nursing, and students from the Department of Emergency Medical Services.

Choi Seong-su, Director of the CPR training institution and Head of the Department of Emergency Medical Services, stated, "We will continuously promote CPR to many students at Gwangju University's College of Health and Welfare as well as local residents, aiming to make the survival rate of cardiac arrest patients in the region the highest in the nation."
