Former Vice Chairman Kwon Young-soo Appointed as Full-time Advisor at LG Energy Solution
It has been confirmed that Kwon Young-soo, former Vice Chairman of LG Energy Solution who challenged the position of Chairman of POSCO Group after voluntarily retiring last November, has recently taken on the role of full-time advisor at LG Energy Solution.
An LG Energy Solution official stated on the 28th, "Former Vice Chairman Kwon was appointed as a full-time advisor as of the 1st of last month."
Retired executives at the president level or higher within LG Group receive a salary as advisors for up to three years. They are provided with a private office, secretary, and vehicle.
Kwon Young-soo joined LG Electronics in 1979 and dedicated 44 years to LG Group. He served as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of LG Electronics, Head of the Battery Business Division at LG Chem, and held CEO positions at LG Display, LG Uplus, and LG Corporation.
Kwon was among the six finalists for the Chairman position at POSCO Group but was ultimately not selected.
