'Seodaemun Nanum 1% Miracle' Warmth Spreads to Gajaeul Area
Representatives of 5 Businesses in Gajaeul Area Located in Namgajwa 1-dong Join Sharing Agreement Together
Seodaemun-gu (District Mayor Lee Seong-heon) announced on the 28th that it recently signed the "Seodaemun Sharing 1% Miracle" agreement with small business owners who agreed to donate a portion (1%) of their business profits back to the local community at the district mayor’s office.
The agreement involved representatives from five businesses located in the Gajaeul area of Namgajwa 1-dong: ▲Seoul Tteokjip (Branch 33) ▲Bonjeon Hoegwan (Branch 37) ▲Garam Ecojai Real Estate Agency (Branch 38) ▲Heungbugol Wang Galbi (Branch 41) ▲Banchan-e Banhae (Branch 42).
Jung Seong-sook, the representative of Seoul Tteokjip Branch 33, said, “I am glad to participate in this meaningful sharing activity for neighbors in need and hope that the ‘Seodaemun Sharing 1% Miracle’ project will continue to expand.”
Hong Gi-yoon, chairman of the Namgajwa 1-dong Community Security Council, stated, “The council will also make greater efforts to spread sharing stores within the local community.”
The district attaches certification plaques to sharing stores to encourage residents to use them and promotes them through the district newsletter and blog. Sharing stores also receive tax benefits for their donations.
Lee Seong-heon, Mayor of Seodaemun-gu, said, “I sincerely thank the small business owners who willingly participate in donations, and we will transparently deliver the donation funds to those in need in the community, so they can serve as a refreshing rain during a drought.”
