Hyundai Construction announced on the 25th that it has won the contract for the Daejeon Doma·Byeondong 16 District Redevelopment Project worth 705.7 billion KRW. The Daejeon Doma·Byeondong 16 District Redevelopment Maintenance Association (Chairman Park Jong-bae) held a general meeting to select a construction company and conducted a member vote on Hyundai Construction’s sole bid as the preferred negotiation partner, ultimately selecting it as the final contractor.
The Daejeon Doma·Byeondong 16 District Redevelopment Project involves constructing 11 buildings with 2,030 households and ancillary welfare facilities on a 125,215㎡ site located at 68-1 Doma-dong, Seo-gu, Daejeon, with 3 basement floors and up to 38 floors above ground. A planned Daejeon Metro Line 2 Doma Station (tentative name) is within a 15-minute walk, and it is close to Seodaejeon Station, where KTX trains can be boarded, as well as the Daejeon Seonam Bus Terminal for intercity buses. Access to highways via Seodaejeon IC and Anyeong IC is also convenient, facilitating travel nationwide.
The complex is located in a ‘Chopuma’ school district, where a new elementary school is planned within the complex. Doma Elementary School, Doma Middle School, and Byeondong Middle School are also nearby. Hyundai Construction proposed the name ‘Hillstate Doma Central’ for the Daejeon Doma·Byeondong 16 District Redevelopment Project. They collaborated with the world-renowned architectural firm nbbj to realize a world-class design.
