Gijang-gun, Busan, announced that, in order to enhance the effectiveness of the National Safety Transformation Intensive Safety Inspection, Gijang-gun Mayor Jeong Jongbok visited a construction site in Jangan-eup on the 24th with private experts in the fields of civil engineering and architecture to conduct a safety inspection.

Mayor Jeong stated, "Policies regarding safety to protect the lives and property of residents must be the top priority. An official from Gijang-gun said, "We are accepting resident applications for inspections of hazardous facilities through the Eup and Myeon Administrative Welfare Centers until the 31st. Anyone can apply for an inspection of hazardous facilities, and we will select targets and conduct safety inspections, so we hope for much interest and participation."
The Intensive Safety Inspection for the National Safety Transformation is a social safety movement in which central government ministries, local governments, and citizens participate together to identify and resolve risk factors throughout society and raise public safety awareness.
From April 22 to June 21, Gijang-gun has been conducting inspections with private experts on 85 facilities in 10 categories, including construction sites, bridges, and children's facilities, over a period of 61 days.
