Gyeonggi Office of Education to Conduct 'Joint Fire Drill' at Suwon Nambu Government Building on the 23rd

View original imageOn the 23rd, the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education conducted the '2024 First Half-Year Southern Office Fire Joint Drill' at the outdoor lawn plaza of the Southern Office building in Suwon, in collaboration with the Suwon Fire Station's Eui 119 Safety Center.
The drill focused on guiding prioritized evacuation centered on the fire floor (ignition floor) to prevent confusion and bottlenecks among employees inside the building during a fire. Subsequently, the evacuation extended to all floors as the fire spread.
After the evacuation drill, training on the use of fire extinguishers and indoor fire hydrants, which are key to initial fire suppression, was also conducted.

Lee Miyong, Director of Operations Support at the Provincial Office of Education, stated, "The Southern Office building is an underground-connected complex structure, so in the event of a fire, not only rapid evacuation but also the role of the self-defense fire brigade is very important." He added, "This drill was conducted with an emphasis on ensuring that all employees can effectively respond when an actual fire occurs by mastering their respective duties."
