Youngtak, Lee Chanwon, Jang Yoonjung, Kim Yongim and Other Trot Stars to Visit Daegu... 'Powerful K-Trot Festival' to Be Held
30,000 Attendees at Daegu Stadium on the 25th at 7 PM
The '2024 Powerful K-Trot Festival' will be held at the main stadium of Daegu Stadium on the 25th at 7 p.m.
This event will feature top Korean trot singers including Kim Yongim, Park Seojin, Yang Jieun, Youngtak, Lee Chanwon, Jang Yoonjung, and Jin Sung, who are expected to deliver high-quality performances for the citizens.
This year's concert will accommodate 30,000 people, an increase of 7,000 compared to last year's 23,000 attendees. In particular, it is also characterized as a cultural welfare event by providing opportunities for multicultural families, low-income groups, and other culturally marginalized communities who typically have limited access to cultural experiences.
The Daegu city government plans to pay special attention to citizen convenience and safety so that visitors can enjoy the performances comfortably and without inconvenience.
While city buses usually run about 20% less on weekends compared to weekdays, the routes passing near the venue will operate at weekday levels on the day of the event. Especially for the Suseong 3 and Suseong 3-1 routes, the stops will be adjusted on the event day so that buses stop at the Daegu Stadium station within a 50-meter radius of the venue.
For urban rail, two additional temporary trains will be on standby at Daegongwon Station, the nearest subway station, after the event to minimize inconvenience for citizens returning home.
To ensure smooth traffic flow around major intersections and access roads near the venue, illegal parking enforcement will be strengthened, and the use of public transportation will be actively encouraged.
Mayor Hong Joonpyo said, "This Powerful K-Trot Festival is a trot celebration for all citizens," adding, "As we have prepared even more special performances this year, I hope everyone enjoys each and every trot song and has a wonderful time."
