Jin Gyo-hoon, Gangseo District Mayor, Congratulates Scholarship Certificate Recipients of Gangseo District Scholarship Foundation
Jin Gyo-hoon, Mayor of Gangseo District, Seoul, attended the '2024 First Half Gangseo District Scholarship Foundation Scholarship Certificate Award Ceremony' held in the district office's main conference room on the 22nd to encourage the scholarship recipients.
The award ceremony was attended by about 50 people, including Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon, Song Jin-su, Chairman of the Gangseo District Scholarship Foundation, and the scholarship students.
Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon said, "I hope this scholarship will be an opportunity for students to take a step closer to their dreams," and added, "We will spare no support to help children gain not only academic knowledge but also broad experiences."
This year, a total of 65 students were selected as scholarship recipients, including 35 high school students and 30 university students, receiving a total of about 90 million KRW. Among them, students selected as Gu-min Hanmaeum scholarship recipients receive up to 3.5 million KRW, high school students receive 1 million KRW, and university students receive up to 2 million KRW.

Established in 2001, the Gangseo District Scholarship Foundation aims to nurture local talents and carries out various scholarship programs to support students' academic pursuits. To date, it has awarded scholarships totaling over 2 billion KRW to more than 1,500 students.
