Sanhodong Community Security Council Welcomes Guests with "Banet Refrigerator"
Offering 50 Sets of 5 Types Including Miyeokguk and Jeyukbokkeum
The Sanho-dong Community Security Council in Masanhappo-gu, Changwon Special City, Gyeongnam held the 'Banet Refrigerator Food Sharing' event on the 22nd.
The Banet Food Sharing program is a welfare-specialized project in Sanho-dong, where food is prepared with donations and personal funds three times a month, on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Wednesdays. The food is then delivered to the Banet Refrigerator, and residents in need can freely take side dishes as needed.
In particular, from May to October, following its selection for the Sanho-dong Welfare Community Capacity Building Project by the Changwon Cultural Heritage last year, the project is now supported by local government subsidies as a specialized project of the Sanho-dong Community Security Council in Changwon. This allows the program to extend a helping hand to even more residents.
This time, the food pantry offers 50 sets of five types of dishes, including seaweed soup, stir-fried pork, braised anchovies with shishito peppers, cucumber salad, and fresh kimchi, and will operate for two to three days.
Im Unkyu, chairman of the Community Security Council, stated, "The Banet Refrigerator not only provides food, but also plays a significant role in checking on residents' safety, health, and living conditions through consultations. We will continue to do our best to lead the Banet Food Sharing program and support families in crisis who are in the welfare blind spot."
