Chosun University Signs Agreement to Train Nuclear Safety Experts
Chosun University announced on the 16th that it participated in the "Agreement Signing and Commitment Ceremony for Training Nuclear Safety Professionals" held by the Nuclear Safety and Security Commission (hereinafter 'NSSC').
To systematically train nuclear safety professionals, companies, universities, and research institutes agreed to join forces, and a total of 39 institutions, including Chosun University, signed the agreement.
In the case of nuclear majors, the graduate school enrollment rate is high, and since master's and doctoral level personnel actively enter nuclear companies and research institutes, there was a strong opinion on the need for specialized nuclear safety education for personnel to be deployed in the field.
At the event, the industry-academia-research-government consortium that signed the agreement shared the recognition of the necessity to train nuclear safety professionals equipped with scientific knowledge and a safety mindset, and agreed to mutually cooperate to foster nuclear safety experts.
The main contents of the agreement include ▲ training, supply, and utilization of nuclear safety professionals ▲ development and operation of field-customized curricula ▲ joint use of educational content, research and educational facilities, and equipment ▲ promotion of expert utilization and joint research projects and seminars ▲ implementation of graduate student internship programs and problem-solving field training, among others.
