"I Know a Police Officer"…Passenger Speaking Loudly on the Phone Shouts at Station Staff Trying to Intervene
Passenger Talking Loudly on Train
Responds to Station Staff's Warning with "Don't Stab Me with Words"
A video of a disruptive passenger who raised their voice, claiming "I know a police officer," after being reprimanded by a train attendant for talking loudly on the train has gone viral.
On the 21st, JTBC's 'Incident Room' reported on a female passenger, Ms. A, who caused a disturbance inside a Mugunghwa train heading towards Masan on the 18th. Ms. A, who was talking loudly on the phone inside the train car, was warned by the attendant to "speak quietly." In response, she said things like "Don't do this to me," "I know a police officer," and "Don't stab me with words." She also claimed to have studied law, stating, "Our country's constitution includes content that words can also stab."
After calling 112 to report, Ms. A told the police, "This is inside a train, and the attendant threatened me first," adding, "Using words is the same as stabbing with a knife." When the police advised her, "You can file a report by visiting the police station," Ms. A retorted, "If the attendant is guilty or has charges, they will be arrested, right?" She also claimed, "The attendant raised their voice at me and humiliated me in front of many people," and said, "Having such an employee hired is frightening from my perspective."
The informant who reported this said, "The passenger was angry, saying '(The attendant) raised their voice at her and humiliated her in front of many people,'" and added, "In the end, the attendant could no longer restrain the passenger and left."
