Icheon-si, Recruitment of Rental Fee Support Candidates for Young Entrepreneurs
Up to 3 Million Won Support for 10 People Over 10 Months
On the 21st, Icheon City in Gyeonggi Province announced that it is recruiting candidates for the 'Youth Entrepreneur Rent Support' program to promote youth startups.
This project, launched for the first time this year, aims to alleviate the business burden on young self-employed individuals by reducing the rent, a major fixed cost. The support amount is up to 50% of 10 months' rent within a monthly limit of 300,000 KRW. The city also provides one-on-one consulting to strengthen capabilities along with rent support.
Eligible applicants are entrepreneurs aged 19 to 39 as of the announcement date, who either reside in Icheon according to their resident registration or have registered a business in Icheon and have been operating it for less than two years.
The city plans to select 10 recipients by evaluating applicants based on assets, sales, and business operation period. The application deadline is the 31st of this month. Detailed information can be found in the announcement on the city’s official website.
Kim Kyung-hee, Mayor of Icheon, said, "We hope this project will provide some support to young entrepreneurs who are struggling due to the economic downturn."
