"Gratitude for Safe Childcare for Children" ... Changwon Family Daycare Association Holds 'Night of Childcare Workers'
A Time for Encouragement and Healing for Childcare Workers
The Changwon City Home Daycare Association in Gyeongnam held the '2024 Changwon City Home Daycare Caregivers' Night' event at the Empathy Hall of the Gyeongnam Office of Education.
The event, held on the 17th, was organized to encourage and recognize the dedication of daycare staff who have contributed to the healthy growth and safety of children despite the challenges faced in the childcare field.
On this day, awards were presented to exemplary daycare staff who have actively worked for the advancement of childcare under difficult circumstances. The event also featured job competency training for daycare staff and a healing concert by the Sejajeongeo Band.
Hong Nampyo, Mayor of Changwon Special City, who attended the event, said in his congratulatory speech, "I would like to thank all the daycare staff who work hard to ensure that children can grow up bright and healthy even in tough environments. The city will also strive to make the path of caregivers a rewarding and proud one."
Meanwhile, the city is promoting various initiatives to improve the treatment of daycare staff, including a sabbatical leave support program for long-serving daycare staff, a substitute teacher support program, and financial support for continuing education aimed at enhancing the capabilities of daycare staff and relieving job-related stress.
The Changwon City Home Daycare Association has been holding the Caregivers' Night event every year to provide rest and boost morale for daycare staff.
