Gwangjin-gu (District Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) will hold the family sports festival "Gwangjin-gu Community Sports Festival" on the 25th and 26th.
The sports competitions, which were previously held separately by category, have been specially combined to commemorate the 29th Gwangjin Residents' Day. As this is the first time the festival is being held, various events have been prepared for not only community sports club members but also residents of all ages to participate.
Six different sports events will take place over two days. First, on the opening day, the 25th, the festival will kick off with the "Hangang Trail Walking Competition" at Ttukseom Hangang Park. Starting at 7:30 AM from the artificial rock climbing wall, participants will walk a 2.5 km course to enjoy the refreshing spring weather.
Following that, from 9 AM, the "Gwangjin-gu Federation President's Futsal Tournament" will be held at Achasan Reservoir Sports Park. From 2 PM to 6 PM, spectators can watch the "Gwangjin-gu District Mayor's Gymnastics Competition" at Children's Grand Park Soccer Field.
On the 26th, from 8 AM to 7 PM at Achasan Reservoir Sports Park, the "Gwangjin-gu Association President's Jokgu Tournament" and the "Gwangjin-gu District Mayor's Tennis Tournament" are scheduled. About 400 members will showcase their individual skills and teamwork in friendly competition.
On the same day at Children's Grand Park, the "Jump Rope Festival" will begin at 10:30 AM. Families can participate together and try various challenges such as basic moves, speed jumping, double Dutch, and long rope jumping. During the event, jump rope stunts and musical performances will also be provided for entertainment.
