Korea Zinc labor and management held a 'Joint Declaration Ceremony for Establishing a Labor-Management Safety Practice Culture' on the 14th at the Ulsan Onsan Smelter, the company announced on the 17th.

On the 17th, Korea Zinc stated that on the 14th, the labor and management held a 'Joint Declaration Ceremony for Establishing a Culture of Safety Practice' at the Onsan Smelter in Ulsan. The ceremony was organized with the purpose of pledging mutual cooperation and commitment to creating a safe working environment and building a healthy workplace.
Lee Jun-yong, head of the Korea Zinc smelter, and Moon Byung-guk, chairman of the labor union, declared through the joint statement, "Safety is the most important core value emphasized by our company, and striving for the safety of all members is responsible management."
Lee emphasized, "This has become an opportunity for a new leap forward to strengthen the culture of safety practice by uniting labor and management and to create a working environment where all members can work safely and healthily."
Chairman Moon said, "Safety is a fundamental right of all members, and cooperation between labor and management is essential for this. We will continue to actively participate in and practice safety education and training, identify and improve risk factors, and comply with regulations to contribute to creating a safe working environment."

Meanwhile, Korea Zinc announced that it has officially launched the 'Begin Again (B.A) Movement' since last month to establish a culture of safety practice. The B.A movement is a company-wide initiative where all Korea Zinc members voluntarily practice and habituate basic safety rules to create a safe company.
